NAATI is the national standard and the certifying authority for translators and interpreters in Australia. NAATI conducted examinations under a certification system to evaluate the candidates’ ability to practice as a translator or interpreter in Australia. The certification assures the people who engage in interpretation and translation. NAATI Credentials Community language (CCL) test, a part of the NAATI certification system, is significant from the Australian PR Application point of view. The NAATI CCL allows one to claim the five bonus points for the PR in Australia.

The test examines ones' ability to speak English and LOTE language. The test is delivered online, from Monday to Friday.
The test comprises two dialogue recordings. The dialogue is carried out in an English native speaker and a native language other than English (LOTE) speaker. And the applicant is supposed to respond to the dialogue in front of the test invigilator.
The maximum test time is 20 minutes and is conducted through the online platform. One, who is overseas, can also attain the NAATI CCL test.
The test comprises two dialogues, each of 45 full marks. The candidate needs to score at least 29 in each dialogue and overall score,63 out of 90.
The result for the NAATI CCL test will be given as:
Pass: 63 or higher (marks out of 90)
Marginal Fail: between 58 and 62.5 (marks out of 90)
Clear Fail: less than 58 (marks out of 90)
